What’s your name and what do you do at Vitec?
My name is André Tøgersen, and I work as a Business Analyst at Vitec Megler in Norway. In my role, I serve as the bridge between our users and the development team. I facilitate workshops and discussions with customers to identify new features or enhance existing ones. I document and communicate these needs to our developers, ensuring that the solution aligns with our clients' expectations.

When did you join the company?
I joined the company in 2021.

What is the most common question about your job?
"What exactly do you do?" My answer is that we digitalize the everyday working life tasks of real estate agents, streamlining their workflow to make the process of buying and selling property easier for everyone involved.

What do you like most about Vitec?
The culture. That is what stands out. The environment is full of friendly, highly skilled colleagues, and there's always a willingness to share knowledge. It's also a very flat organization, so if you have an idea, the path from concept to action is short. Is there something special that makes you proud at work?
My background is in real estate, which is a highly regulated industry. I'm proud that through our products, we can ensure the buyer and seller of a property are well-supported, and ensuring that we make the work process for our users as easy and efficient as possible. Plus, the digital solutions we offer help reduce the environmental footprint of the real estate sector, which is a huge benefit.

What took you all the way here?
After working as a real estate agent for a few years, I wanted to make a broader impact on the daily work of realtors. I completed a master's degree and started working in software development, creating features for the banking and finance sectors. My role at Vitec allows me to merge my expertise in business analysis with my experience in real estate, which has been a perfect fit.

And finally, what would you do if you were not working with this, your alternative career choice?
I'd probably be involved in property management and housing development – building a personal real estate portfolio, focusing on long-term rentals, and renovating properties for sale.
