We tech the schools in Denmark

Semir Lilic, Vitec MV

What’s your name and what do you do at Vitec?
My name is Semir Lilic, and I am Customer Service Manager at Vitec MV. I started at Vitec MV in February 2018.

What do you like most about Vitec?
Transparency. For example, I'm a member of the customer support forum. It is an online community where we share information and knowledge within the group. If we encounter issues or challenges in our customer support team, I can seek advice from colleagues in other Vitec business units in Sweden or Norway. It allows me to feel safe and ready to handle any situation because I know that we are part of something bigger.

When does it feel particularly good at work and what makes you proud?
Well, it feels really good basically every day – because we at Vitec MV develop software for people with dyslexia, and I feel I can help them. If they have problems, whether it's technical or simple user questions, they call me and I guide and support them. Their reactions say it all: "oh, now I can work again!" or "ah, now I can read again". So yes, it gives me fuel to keep going. I've been doing this for seven years now and I still love it.

Every day, we make it easier for more and more people to get through their day, whether they are at school, at work or at home. I'm proud because our work has an important purpose. We help people out there.

How come you ended up where you are today?
I began as a support technician, handling customer calls and emails. From there, my role has evolved. Initially, I was appointed as the Customer Service Manager for our Danish division at Vitec MV. Subsequently, I was promoted to oversee both the Swedish and Norwegian departments as well.

Thanks!
